PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container sterilizing apparatus of high reliability by preventing impurities such as germs from being brought into a sterilizing area subjected to the irradiation of electron beams to prevent the re-adhesion of the impurities to a container 2 after sterilization by the irradiation of the electron beams. SOLUTION: The container which is gripped by a gripper of a container conveying means 24 and conveyed in a sterilizing box 18 (in a sterilizing area) is sterilized by the irradiation of electron beams from an electron beam irradiating device 28. Jet nozzles 92 and 94 for jetting gaseous hydrogen peroxides are provided in a chamber (a second feed chamber 10) in a feed area for feeding the container to the sterilizing area, and the container 2 is sterilized in the feed area having the atmosphere of a gaseous hydrogen peroxide. Further, a sterile air jet nozzle 80 is provided and an atmosphere in the container 2 is replaced with sterile air. By feeding the container 2 in the sterile state in the feed area into the sterilizing area, any germ is not stuck again to the sterilized container 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
