<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authoring device which sets different properties individually to a plurality of parts which constitute one-line text data. <P>SOLUTION: The authoring device 10 is provided with a one-line text setting means 100 which sets one-line text data, and a one-line text element generation means 110 which generates a one-line text element described with a markup language using an XML. The one-line text setting means 100 is provided with a parts input part 101 which inputs a plurality of parts which constitute text data, and a parts property setting part 102 which sets properties to the parts.
