<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can promptly respond as well while attaining a reduction in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 100 is equipped with a memory 104 which stores apparatus information of other printers connected to a network NT, an inquiry transmitting part 105 which carries out inquiry of operational states of the other apparatuses on the basis of the apparatus information stored in the memory 104, a receiving determining part 107 which determines the operational states of the other apparatuses on the basis of an inquiry result to the inquiry by the inquiry transmitting part 105, and a state changing switch 108 and a power supply control part 109 which control changing over the operational state of the printer 100 to either of an active state and a power-saving state according to the number of the other apparatuses in the active state determined by the receiving determining part 107. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
