PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper capable of regulating damping characteristics and eliminating insufficient damping force when operated at low piston speed. SOLUTION: This double rod type damper including a cylinder 1, a rod 2 movably inserted into the cylinder 1, and a piston 3 provided on the intermediate part of the rod 2, slidably inserted into the cylinder 1, and separating two pressure chambers R1, R2 from each other, includes a regulating means 4 regulating tension fastening the rod 2, of seal members 10, 11 sealing the periphery of the rod 2.
