PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for a packing vessel cover having excellent moldability as the one for a packing vessel cover, also hard to be broken even if it is exposed to high temperature after the packing of a content, so as to increase the inner pressure of the packing vessel, and buckling is caused, and whose shape is returned to an original stationary state together with the removal of heat even if the shape thereof is deformed, i.e., having excellent stress relaxation properties. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy sheet has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.05 to 0.3% Cu, 0.2 to 0.6% Mn and 2.0 to 5.5% Mg, and in which the content of Si is regulated to 0.05 to 0.3% and the content of Fe is regulated to 0.05 to 0.4%, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and in which a fracture threshold elongation percentage in a parallel bending tensile test after baking under the temperature condition of 250°C for 20 s is≥2%, a deflection height by a stress relaxation test is≤7 mm, roughening and cracking are not generated by a sphere head bulging test, and, in the result of a can openability evaluation, it is formed in such a manner that score cracking propagates over elongation in the longitudinal direction of a tab.
