PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activation treatment liquid used for the pretreatment of the surface to be plated formed of nickel, which is formed on a base metal easily eroded when being contacted with strong acid or strong alkali. SOLUTION: As the activation treatment liquid used for the pretreatment of the surface to be plated formed of nickel, an acid solution containing organic acid and having a pH of 1.0 to <4.0 is adopted. In the pretreatment using the activation treatment liquid, the surface to be plated formed of nickel and the activation treatment liquid whose liquid temperature is controlled to≥50°C are contacted for 30 sec to 120 min and treated. Further, when the activation treatment liquid containing a metal salt or a chelating agent is used, further stable pretreatment effect can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
