PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively dissolve a detergent and to reduce washing irregularities of clothes. SOLUTION: The washing machine includes a lower surface blade 14 provided on the back surface of a pulsator 13, a pump chamber 16 where the lower surface blade is disposed, a circulation water path 18 for sending out the water of the pump chamber to a washing and spin-drying tub 12 and circulating it, and an opening/closing means 22 provided in the circulation water path. The opening/closing means opens and closes the circulation water path according to a water pressure generated by the rotation of the lower surface blade inside the pump chamber and closes the circulation water path at or below the prescribed water pressure.
