<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when transiting to an engine travel (an HEV travel) from a motor travel (an EV travel) in a one-motor type hybrid vehicle, it is necessary to start an engine while one motor generator outputs torque for the travel, so that there is a risk of falling into the condition that the engine cannot be started because a vehicle speed is low to cause a low rotation speed of the motor generator. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle speed threshold and a battery SOC threshold are set. When battery SOC becomes smaller than an SOC threshold during traveling in an EV mode, the engine start is performed as transmitting the torque for the travel to wheels when the vehicle speed is larger than the vehicle speed threshold, and the engine is started without transmitting driving force for the travel when the vehicle speed is the vehicle speed threshold or below, and a changeover to an HEV mode is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
