PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical equipment capable of reducing quantity of light in a region around an imaging face in a well-balanced manner irrespective of the direction of the travel of a vibration proof lens. SOLUTION: This optical equipment has a vibration proof unit 9 for moving the vibration proof lens in the direction being different from the direction of optical axis in accordance with swing of the optical equipment, a light shading unit 2 capable of deforming a shape of a light passing opening LA, and a controlling means for controlling the light shading unit in accordance with travel of the vibration proof lens. The controlling means controls the light shading unit to deform the light passing opening into a different shape in accordance with the direction of the travel of the vibration proof lens.
