PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new double floor system which eliminates the need for cutting basic floor panels and for procurement and installation of new supporting posts for a border area when a partition wall is installed, and offers high degree of freedom in designing of an installation module of the partition wall and in widths of the partition wall to be installed. SOLUTION: The double floor system comprises standard supporting posts 2 installed on a foundation floor 1 outside the range, where the partition wall 8 is to be installed, at intervals to support the basic floor panel 3, border area supporting posts 5 installed on the foundation floor 1 adjacent to the range where the partition wall 8 is to be installed but outside the range where the partition wall 8 is to be installed, at an interval same as the thickness of the partition wall 8, a basic floor panel 3 laid between the standard supporting posts 2, 2, a channel cover 6 laid between the border area supporting posts 5, 5, and a border area floor panel 7 laid between the standard supporting posts 2 and the border area supporting posts 5.
