PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a concrete column formed of concrete with a design strength of≥100 N/mm<SP>2</SP>, easily and surely preventing drying of a placed surface and hardly forming a cavity near the placed surface. SOLUTION: Immediately after placing concrete C with the design strength of≥100 N/mm<SP>2</SP>, open cell type sponge G in a dried or wet state is laid on the placed surface J, and the movement of the sponge S is restricted by column main reinforcements T projected from the placed surface J.
