PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof cooling system capable of efficiently and inexpensively cooling a roof, particularly a sheet metal roof surface of batten seam structure or corrugated structure or a slate roof surface. SOLUTION: A relay water receiving tank connected to a storage pump through a water supply pipe is installed on a roof. The water supply pipe one end of which is connected to the relay water receiving tank and the other end of which is closed is installed along the upper ridge part of the roof. One end of a water spray pipe in which spray nozzles are so drilled in the wall of the pipe at generally equal intervals as to direct toward the roof surface, and the other end of the spray pipe is connected to the other end of the water supply pipe.
