<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric porcelain having a high dielectric constant and low hysteresis in electric field-dielectric polarization characteristics, and to provide a capacitor using the same. <P>SOLUTION: To 1 mol of barium which composes barium titanate, magnesium is contained at a proportion of 0.01-0.06 mol in terms of MgO; yttrium is contained at a proportion of 0-0.03 mol in terms of YO<SB>3/2</SB>; manganese is contained at a proportion of 0.005-0.03 mol in terms of MnO; and tantalum is contained at a proportion of 0.1-0.3 mol in terms of TaO<SB>5/2</SB>. In an X-ray diffraction chart of the dielectric porcelain when Cukα line is used, the difference (d<SB>25</SB>-d<SB>150</SB>) between a half value width at 25°C (d<SB>25</SB>) of a diffraction peak in the range of 2θ of 44.7-45.5° and a half value width at 150°C (d<SB>150</SB>) thereof is 0.005 nm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
