PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle traveling control device capable of reducing a feeling of incompatibility to be given to a driver when it is determined that a self-vehicle is trying to leave a major road by a means for acquiring the traveling circumstances of a self-vehicle such as a navigation device while the vehicle is traveling on the major road. SOLUTION: A traveling control ECU 1 controls a vehicle speed by an ACC control part 13 based on a vehicle speed set by a target vehicle speed setting part 12. An acceleration intention acquisition part 11 acquires the acceleration intention of a driver. It may be decided that the vehicle is traveling on a leaving route by mistake although the vehicle is traveling on the main track of a speedway by the target vehicle speed setting part 12. In this case, the target vehicle speed is set low, and acceleration is suppressed, and when the acceleration intention of the driver is acquired by the acceleration intention acquisition part 11, the target vehicle speed is not set low, and the suppression of acceleration is canceled.
