PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the error correction capability for decoding data which are subjected to error-correction coding. SOLUTION: A known code portion which is a code portion, corresponding to known data of coded data transmitted via a communication channel is detected. When the known code portion is not detected from the coded data, the coded data is decoded. When the known code portion is detected from the coded data, at least a part of the detected coded data is replaced with normal data, and decoding is carried out with respect to the replaced coded data.
