PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyamide monofilament giving a plain gauze having small denier unevenness in the longitudinal direction of the yarn, especially denier unevenness in the longitudinal direction of the monofilament called as burl and having excellent quality. SOLUTION: A polyamide resin chip is melted, supplied to a pack for melt-spinning and extruded from a spinneret nozzle, the obtained yarn is cooled, a spinning oil is applied to the yarn at a sufficiently cooled position and the yarn is drawn, heat-treated and wound to produce the polyamide monofilament. In the above process, the polyamide resin chip has a water-content of 0.11-0.15 wt.% in drying and a viscosity difference between the resin chip and the yarn is≤0.03. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
