PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for safely and stably holding merchandise such as tobacco cartons placed on counters in a shop and for facilitating taking out of the merchandise. SOLUTION: A lower recess 4 is provided in a front projected part 3 and an outside recess 5 is provided in the rear frame part 2' of a base plate 1 in the lowermost stage. A lower recess 9 is provided in a front projected part 8 and an outside recess 10 is provided in the rear frame part 7' of each of placing plates 6 which are arranged in two or more stages above the base plate with appropriate spaces. Right and left sides of the base plate and the placing plates are connected by supporting rods 11. Each of individual rectangle trays 20 has a high side wall 23 on one side and a low side wall 24 on the other side, and has a lower projection 33 provided on the front bottom part and a rear projection 34 provided on the rear side. The lower projections of the trays are fitted to the lower recesses of the base plate and the placing plates, and the rear projections are fitted to the outside recesses of the base plate 1 and the placing plates so that the individual trays are placed stably inside the base plate and the placing plates that are installed in predetermined places.
