<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor which can monitor the temperature of a heat insulating package equipped with a reactor body. <P>SOLUTION: The reactor 10 includes: a reactor body 31 for generating hydrogen from a fuel and water; thin film heaters 32, 33 provided on the surface of the reactor body 31; a heat insulating package 34 in which the reactor body 31 and the thin film heaters 32, 33 are housed; a thin film temperature sensor 35 provided on the surface of the heat insulating package 34; and a monitor circuit 36 for monitoring the thin film heaters 32, 33 and the thin film temperature sensor 35. The thin film temperature sensor 35 is obtained by sequentially laminating an adhesion layer 35a, a diffusion preventing layer 35b, and a resistance layer 35c from a lower layer.
