<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of an artificial hip joint in the artificial hip joint and its production method. <P>SOLUTION: A combined process of an ion implantation and a CVD (chemical vapor deposition) for changing gas species of the hydrocarbon gas and an ion implantation voltage using plasma gas, or mixed gas of hydrocarbon gas and organic silicon gas, is applied to a bone head implant 1 and an acetabulum implant 2 of the artificial hip joint at least whose sliding part is formed of metal so as to form DLC (diamond-like carbon) films 1a and 2a on the surface of respective sliding sections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
