<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initial exciting circuit for solving the problem that the mounting of a resistor is required to control an initial exciting current in the initial exciting circuit of a synchronous generator and the realization of compactness and low pricing is difficult. <P>SOLUTION: A circuit, equipped with an external direct current power supply and a second rectifier directly connected to an AVR composed of a first rectifier in which the output voltage of the synchronous generator is an input and a circuit that feeds the output of this rectifier to a field winding of the synchronous generator through a switching element, is connected in parallel with the first rectifier so as to allow the current to flow in the same direction, thereby controlling the initial exciting current with the switching element. Compactness and low pricing are enabled since the resistor is never needed to be connected to the initial exciting circuit in series irrespective of a power supply voltage of the external DC power supply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
