PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding case for improving noise performance and an optical module including this shielding case as a structural component thereof. SOLUTION: A ground pin 66 is formed as a projected part at the lower end of a bending angled part 73 of the shielding case 37. The ground pin 66 is arranged and formed in alignment with a location of the bending angled part 73. Moreover, the ground pin 66 is formed in continuation with a couple of walls holding the bending angled part 73. The ground pin 66 is formed having almost the L-shaped cross-sectional area. The shielding case 37 can control generation of radiation noise in accordance with arrangement and shape of the ground pin 66. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
