PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a gear box from interfering with a muffler, in order to carry out an engine test similar to an actual vehicle. SOLUTION: A dynamometer 4 is connected to an engine 1 through the gear box 7, and a recessed section 7a is formed on a portion of the gear box 7 through which the muffler 2 of the engine 1 passes, and the muffler 2 of the engine 1 is brought to pass through the recessed section 7a. Furthermore, a heat shield plate 7b is disposed around the recessed section 7a, and a ceiling part 7c of the recessed section 7a is made tilted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
