PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of imide resin in which an amine salt produced in a polymer chain after reaction when reacting an acrylic resin with an imidizing agent under the presence of an organic solvent is removed. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of imide resin is characterized in that the acrylic resin is reacted with the imidizing agent under the presence of the organic solvent and, subsequently, is brought into contact with silica, whereby the amine salt produced in the polymer chain can be removed and, as the result, such an imide resin as to be free from polymer odor and cause no failure of bubbling or the like when preparing molten film.
