PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a polycarbonate resin capable of obtaining a polymer having a high molecular weight and an excellent transparency. SOLUTION: This production method of the polycarbonate resin is characterized in that during the polymerization of a cyclic polycarbonate oligomer, as a polymerization catalyst, a triaryl phosphine having a substituent represented by general Formula 1: (wherein R represents an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a phenyl group), is used in an amount of 0.3 mol% to 5 mol%, based on the amount of a carbonate bond in the cyclic polycarbonate oligomer.
