PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door control device capable of easily detecting especially an off-failure in an early stage regardless of kinds of obstacle sensors. SOLUTION: This door control device calls attention or controls a door based on the obstacle sensor 5 detecting an obstacle in the vicinity of the clearance between the elevator door 3 and an entrance frame 2 or in the vicinity of the clearance between slide doors, and an output of the obstacle sensor. The device includes a counting means counting the number of times of the opening/closing of the door for the duration of a non-operative state of the obstacle sensor, and a failure determining means determining the failure of the obstacle sensor when a counting value of the counting means reaches an sufficiently large prescribed value.
