<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable it to recognize easily about the whole recurring decimal, even when a repetend of recurring decimal value which should be displayed is too long and cannot be displayed, for example, in a small electronic type calculator called a calculator. <P>SOLUTION: When a fraction [1/17] is input and displayed, and "an execution key" 18d is operated, a quotient of an integer or a decimal is computed by a division process in a numerator/a denominator of the fraction. When it is computed as a recurring decimal (0. ä0588235294117647}), the recurring decimal concerned to which signs (they are dot signs DS and SE for Japan) which writes starting point-endpoint of the repetend ä0588235294117647} are added is displayed on a display part 19. When the recurring decimal by which division calculation has being carried out is not settled within the number of digits which can be displayed in the display part 19, both scroll capable marks MR and ML that show that a scroll display to a direction in which the displaying number hides is possible are displayed.
