<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a help display device with excellent operability for transparently displaying only a control related to a displayed description. <P>SOLUTION: Control of help to be displayed, help to be displayed and controls related to the contents of the help are associated by IDs respectively assigned thereto and stored in a printer driver storage region. A related control ID table including control IDs of help to be displayed is created according to association based on IDs. The position of the control described in the related control ID table is compared with the position of a help window to determine whether both positions overlap.
