PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly control a gripping device for which complicated gripping operations are required. SOLUTION: This gripping device comprises: an information acquisition means for acquiring the information on the position and attitude of a member to be gripped by a gripping means; a movement path setting means for acquiring a target gripping state suitable for gripping the member, according to the acquired information and setting a movement path for the gripper toward the target gripping state; and a controller for moving the gripper along the set movement path and causing the gripper to grip the member.
