PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle start control device capable of accurately setting target engine torque. SOLUTION: In the vehicle start control device for calculating the target engine torque from driver requirement driving force set based on an accelerator opening and vehicle speed, driver requirement output is calculated based on the driver requirement driving force, and it is determined whether or not a difference between target first engine torque (S15) calculated based on the calculated driver requirement output and transmission efficiency of a torque converter and target second engine torque (S7) calculated based on the driver requirement driving force, driving wheel diameter, a transmission ratio of an automatic transmission and a torque ratio of the torque converter exceeds a set difference (S16). When it is determined that the difference exceeds the set difference, the target second engine torque is set as the target engine torque (S18), and when it is determined that the difference is the set difference or lower, the target first engine torque is set as the target engine torque (S17).
