<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharger preventing operation failure of a drive ring caused by rust of a turbine housing. <P>SOLUTION: The supercharger 1 includes a turbine 2 for driving a turbine impeller 5 by exhaust gas made flow in from an internal combustion engine to an annular gas flow passage 10 within the turbine housing 2a; a variable displacement device capable of varying flow speed of the exhaust gas by opening/closing a plurality of nozzle vanes 31 arranged within the annular gas flow passage 10 circumferentially at predetermined intervals; and a compressor 3 for driving a compressor impeller 6 by rotating force of the turbine impeller 5. The variable displacement device includes the drive ring 33 provided rotatably in the circumferential direction of an annular turbine shroud 12 arranged between the turbine impeller 5 and the turbine housing 2a. An erosion prevention means for preventing rust generated in the turbine housing 2a from eroding on the drive ring 33 side is provided between the turbine housing 2 and the drive ring 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
