PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oxygen deterioration of a plastic cage as well as to enhance its strength by radiation crosslinking, and to provide a cage which can withstand use at high temperature, avoids deformation and can withstand long-term use especially under a high-temperature or high-speed rotation condition, and rolling bearings equipped with the cage and suitable for use under a high-temperature or high-speed rotation condition. SOLUTION: A method for producing a cage for rolling bearings includes: forming a resin composition prepared by blending a synthetic resin with a crosslinking aid in a predetermined cage shape, crosslinking by irradiation with radiation in an oxygen-free atmosphere; and heat treating in the oxygen-free atmosphere.
