PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic which improves the sticky and stiff feel when waxes or higher alcohols are applied to the hair. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic is made up of a dispersion of oily particles in an emulsion phase and has the characteristics (1)-(4) below. (1) The oily particle contains a solid oil and a liquid oil. (2) The solid oil in the oily particle contains a solid oil having a melting point of≥45°C. (3) The oily particle has an average particle size of 0.05-10 mm. (4) The emulsion phase contains one or more kinds selected from among the group consisting of an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer, a high-molecular silicone, an amino- or ammonium-modified high-molecular silicone, and a highly polymerized dimethiconol.
