PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending device for bending a pipe having a rectangular cross section into a desired bent shape. SOLUTION: This bending device has: a bending die which has an outer peripheral shape corresponding to the bending shape of the pipe (pipe) having the rectangular cross section and is arranged rotatably; a clamp which is arranged so that the tip of the pipe can be fixed to the outer periphery of the bending die; a pressing die which holds the pipe in cooperation with the bending die and is arranged movably in the axial direction of the pipe before working; a pressing die pressurizing means which is arranged so that the pressing die can be pressed against the web width part of the pipe and a back tension applying means which is arranged on the tail end side of the pipe and by which tension is applied. Especially, the bending die is constituted so as to be divided into a fixed part and the bending device is provided with a movable part pressurizing means by which the movable part is pressed against the web height part of the pipe having the rectangular cross section. Furthermore, it is preferable that the back tension loading means is a segment die which is divided into a plurality of pieces in the peripheral direction of the pipe, and is constituted so that it slidable in the axial direction of the pipe along an expander and separation can be prevented, and furthermore, it has a structure having a flange on one end, and that an outer cylinder ring has a structure composed of an inside member and an outside member which are dividable.
