PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily introducing an amino acid to a target protein or a target peptide, at low cost, and enabling the introduction of the amino acid to the target protein or the target peptide to be increased in scale. SOLUTION: The method for introducing the amino acid to the target protein or the target peptide includes allowing (1) the target protein or the target peptide, (2) the amino acid to be introduced, (3) tRNA, (4) an aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase and (5) an aminoacyl-tRNA protein transferase to be present in the same mixed solution, in a single container.
