PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic equipment that can be prevented from being damaged due to collision between a first casing and a second casing and also suitably prevent casing front end portions from shifting in overlap position in a closed state while prevented from increasing in cost and size as much as possible. SOLUTION: An end surface on the side connected to a hinge portion 4 of a display-part side casing 3 is disposed covering a lengthwise end portion of the end surface, and buffer members (a first buffer member 32a and a second buffer member 32b) are provided which reduce a shock given by a lengthwise end portion to an operation-part side casing 2. The first buffer member 32a and second buffer member 32b each have an extension portion 32c extending to an area of the end surface opposed to the hinge portion 4, and a projection portion 32d projecting from the end surface side to the side of the hinge portion 4 is formed at the extension portion 32c.
