PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable coil component which hardly undergoes coil damage, can be automatically mounted by vacuum suction, is compact, shows high magnetic characteristics and hardly causes magnetic characteristic variation. SOLUTION: A storage case 2 has a bottom portion 21, sidewalls 22 to 25 stood over the entire periphery of the bottom portion 21, and an opening portion 26 opposed to the bottom portion 21, and is made to cover a coil assembly 1 from the side of the opening portion 26. Positioning projection pieces 341 and 341 are disposed at both ends of the coil assembly 1 in a length direction X, and receive the opening portion side of the sidewall 25 of the storage case 2 at both sides of the positioning projection pieces in a width direction Y of the coil assembly 1 to stop the coil 12 from coming in contact with the storage case.
