PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple optical-axis photoelectric sensor capable of simple assembling. SOLUTION: Flange sections arranged on both sides of an optical unit are stored together with a front cover in a storage groove arranged on a main body case. A linear seal member is also stored in a space formed by being surrounded with the storage groove, the flange section, and the front cover, and then, a cross section of the seal member is increased. For example, the cross section of the linear seal member is lessened by extending the linear seal member at the time of its storage, and it is preferable to remove extending force in the seal member after storing it. The seal member fixes the optical unit and the front cover by pushing the optical unit and the front cover against the storage groove. The optical unit is automatically sealed since the optical unit is pushed by the seal member. Consequently, the multiple optical-axis photoelectric sensor can be assembled simply by simultaneously performing fixing and sealing of the optical unit and the front cover without using a screw, a double-faced adhesive, a resin case, or the like.
