PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control execution of each function included in a program run on an virtual machine, and executed as a thread, without modifying an OS and the virtual machine. SOLUTION: This control program for controlling the executions of the plurality of functions included in the program run on the virtual machine, and executed as the thread, causes a processor of a computer to perform steps of: acquiring a remaining capacity of a memory allocated to the virtual machine, at the start of the specified function, from the virtual machine; extracting an estimated memory consumption for the specified function, from a function-based memory consumption table for storing the estimated memory consumption of each function executed in the past, at every execution; calculating a predicted memory consumption value of the specified function, from the extracted estimated memory consumption; and stopping the thread of the specified function by the virtual machine, when a difference between the remaining memory capacity and the predicted memory consumption value is less than a predetermined threshold value.
