PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of the distortion of a shape in the deforming operation of a three-dimensional model configured of a curved surface patch in which a plurality of normal vectors are defined. SOLUTION: This design support device includes: a means for extracting the normal vectors of each face element on an evaluation reference line configured by connecting the boundary lines of the face elements arrayed in a prescribed direction on a curved surface including a plurality of non-adjacent face elements; a means for calculating the first normal vector distribution curve indicating the distribution of the top ends of the normal vectors on the evaluation reference line; a means for calculating the second normal vector distribution curve by removing one or more normal vectors as the object of correction from the normal vectors included in the first normal vector distribution curve; a means for correcting the normal vectors as the object of correction by moving the normal vectors as the object of correction to the second normal vector distribution curve; and a means for correcting the face elements by the corrected normal vectors.
