PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system increasing a temperature of a refrigerant by using heat of a device to be cooled without unnecessarily operating a compressor, saving on energy, properly performing cooling according to a temperature of the device, and improving safety. SOLUTION: This cooling system includes: a compressor for compressing a refrigerant; a heat exchanger for radiating heat of the compressed refrigerant; an expansion valve for expanding the refrigerant after heat radiation; a cooling unit for cooling the cooled device by the expanded refrigerant; and a control system for controlling the compressor. A device to be cooled is an electric device of a vehicle with a driving system including an electric motor, the refrigerant is carbon dioxide kept in a supercritical state in a steady operation of the cooling system, and the control system measures the temperature of the refrigerant on an upstream side of the cooling unit to control the compressor on the basis of the temperature of the refrigerant.
