<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Maillard reaction inhibitor being a natural origin product having excellent Maillard reaction inhibiting action, being easily available, inexpensive, and highly safe, not adversely affecting the quality of a product to which it is added in respect of e.g. after-feeling, and being therefore widely usable, to provide an anti-aging agent, and to provide a skin preparation for external use. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are a Maillard reaction inhibitor containing as an active ingredient at least one member selected from an extract of Machilus odoratissima, an extract of Mallotus philippinensis Mueller-Argoviensis, an extract of Alpinia nutans or Alpinia speciosa, an extract of radix Glycyrrhizae, and an extract of Averrhoa carambola L., an anti-aging agent, and a skin preparation for external use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
