<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion of a water-insoluble colorant and a manufacturing method of the dispersion in association with a dispersion liquid of a buildup pigment having fine and uniform particle size capable of maintaining a high light-fastness and good dispersing performance with a low viscosity while undeliberate coagulation of pigment particulates is precluded, in particular, assuring adjustability of the chromatic reproducing area of the pigment over a wide range, suppressing a change in the hue of the print in a range from low density to high density, and establishing the desired hue, and also provide a recording liquid using the dispersion, an ink set, a printed object, an image forming method, and an image-forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The dispersion is formed so that particles of water-insoluble colorant containing at least two sorts of pigments are dispersed in a medium containing water together with a dispersing agent, wherein the water-insoluble colorant has a crystalline structure, and the light-scattering intensity is 30,000 cps or less, when a peak value of absorbance in the visible light region is set to 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
