<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which can be housed in a cartridge and whose recording capacity can be increased as much as possible and easily positioned in a recording and playback device, and to provide an optical recording and playback device suitable for the optical information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium 100 has a reference hole 113 for positioning and an alignment hole 114. The alignment hole is larger than the reference hole and has e.g. an elliptical or oblong circular shape. The the recording medium and an information recording region thereof is rectangular. A medium drawing-out member of the recording and playback device may have a fastening part for hooking and moving the optical information recording medium. The drawing-out member may have a gear part engaging with a gear wheel of a gear member for medium removal of the recording and playback device and moving the optical information recording medium by rotation of the gear member instead of the fastening part or together therewith. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
