<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having an adhesive layer, a transparent protective layer and an optical compensation layer in this order on at least one surface of a polarizer and capable of lowering display unevenness when the polarizing plate is applied to a liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: In the polarizing plate having the adhesive layer, the transparent protective layer and the optical compensation layer in this order on at least one surface of the polarizer, the optical compensation layer satisfies a relation of nx≈ny>nz (wherein, when an axis X is a direction in which an in-plane refractive index is made to be the maximum, an axis Y is a direction vertical to the axis X and an axis Z is a thickness direction, refractive indices in respective axial directions are defined as nx, ny and nz, respectively) and the transparent protective film contains a (meth)acrylic resin having a lactone ring structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
