<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity controller that employs an adsorbent and removes odorants adsorbed therein by its operation. <P>SOLUTION: The humidity controller (10) is comprised of a refrigerant circuit (50) equipped with a first adsorption heat exchanger (51) and a second adsorption heat exchanger (52). The refrigerant circuit (50) is constructed in such a manner that the circulation direction of the refrigerant can be reversed. In the purging operation of the humidity controller (10), a purging action wherein the first adsorption heat exchanger (51) works as an evaporator and another purging action wherein the second adsorption heat exchanger (52) works as an evaporator are alternately carried out once in every purging operation. During the purging operation, outdoor air is introduced to the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) each working as an evaporator, and moisture in the introduced outdoor air is adsorbed by the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52). The moisture content in the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) during the purging operation becomes higher than the moisture content therein during a normal operation, and the odorants having been adsorbed by the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) are expelled by the moisture adsorbed by the same during the purging operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
