PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dryer preventing formation of marks caused by uneven drying. SOLUTION: A dry unit 60 incorporates a roller type carrying mechanism including: a center roller having a relatively large diameter; and a turn part constituted of eleven nip rollers 68 having a diameter smaller than that of the center roller and pinching a printing paper sheet 2 between them and a circumferential face of the center roller and carrying the printing paper. In each nip roller 68, a plurality of large diameter parts 68a and a plurality of small diameter parts 68b having a diameter smaller than the large diameter part 68a are alternately formed along an axial direction of the nip roller. The eleven nip rollers 68 are disposed so that the large diameter part 68a of any one of nip rollers 68 is positioned along a carrying direction of the printing paper sheet 2 at any position with respect to the axial direction. Hot air is blown from a blowing part onto a face on a side abutting on each nip roller 68 of the printing paper sheet 2 to dry the printing paper sheet 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
