PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, in a recording device having a reading function, vibration generated in supply of a recording medium for recording data thereon to the recording device, transport thereof in the recording device, and discharge thereof from the recording device may influence a reading operation. SOLUTION: By detecting a reading operation situation, the supply, transport and discharge operations of the recording medium are changed in response to the reading operation situation.
