PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an air cleaner of a novel constitution having small air blowing resistance. SOLUTION: This air cleaner has a sirocco fan 23, an air duct part 25 surrounding the sirocco fan 23, a driving part 27 of the sirocco fan 23 and a casing part 29. A permanent magnet 235 is arranged in a peripheral edge part of the sirocco fan 23, and the driving part 27 is arranged outside the air duct part 25, and the sirocco fan 23 is rotated by changing a magnetic field impressed on the magnet 235 of the sirocco fan 23.
