PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrophotography, which is excellent in both low temperature fixing ability and storage property, also is excellent in durability and can maintain excellent transfer efficiency and image density even in a plate wear test of a low printing ratio, and to provide an image forming method using the toner for electrophotography. SOLUTION: The toner for electrophotography includes: toner mother particles containing a binder resin and wax; and external additive, wherein the binder resin includes a crystalline polyester, a calorie of an area surrounded by an endothermic curve of the toner determined with a differential scanning calorimeter and a straight line connecting the top of an endothermic peak appearing at the lowest temperature among endothermic peaks originated from the binder resin to the top of an endothermic peak originated from the wax having the lowest melting point among the waxes is 0.1 to 10.0 J/g, the average circularity of the toner is 0.940 to 0.980 and the content of particles having particle size of <3 μm is ≤5% by number.
