<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breader mix enabling production of a deep-fried food-like food which is free from the need of frying in oil, and pretreatment such as retort treatment and steaming treatment, and has only through baking, appearance and texture similar to those of a food fried in oil, and to provide the deep-fried food-like food using the breader mix. <P>SOLUTION: This breader mix to be used for the deep-fried food-like food contains, based on 100 total mass pts.wt. of grain flour and/or starch, 5-400 mass pts.wt. of fine bread crumb which has a ratio of ≥90 mass%, of remaining on a sieve with an opening of 50 μm and passing through a sieve with an opening of 2,000 μm, and 5-100 mass pts.wt. of saccharide.
